She is responsible for the line of business that develops solutions to problems and common issues in the CANDU community through innovative new approaches for longer more robust plant life. She has over 23 years of experience in the nuclear industry with past employers being Candu Energy and Atomic Energy of Canada Ltd. She holds a Chemical Engineering honors degree from the University of Toronto and is a licensed Professional Engineer with the Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO).

In addition to this she serves on WiN Canada’s Board of Directors as Secretary, is a former Chapter Chair of WiN Bruce, and has given back to WiN by donating her time to be a speaker, and panelist at many WiN Canada events. She has been a WiN Canada/WiN Bruce member since 2004 and has yet to miss an annual conference.

Read moreWomen in Nuclear Canada is pleased to join as a signatory to the joint Clean Energy Ministerial (CEM) and International Energy Agency (IEA) Equal by 30 initiative, as part of the Clean Energy, Education and Empowerment Initiative (C3E), which works to advance the participation of women in the clean energy transition, and close the gender gap.
The annual Harriet Brooks Award (previously called the WiN-Canada Award) recognizes a member(s) who has/have made an outstanding leadership contribution to the success of WiN-Canada.
WiN Canada aims to recognize young women who play a pivotal role, in their studies and in their communities, in highlighting the benefits of the nuclear industry. The annual WiN Canada Student Scholarship is awarded to three (3) deserving applicants who each receive an engraved plaque and a financial contribution of CAN $3,000, to be put towards their continued pursuit of a career in the nuclear industry.

The Canadian Nuclear Society (CNS) and Canadian Nuclear Association (CNA) jointly recognize outstanding contributions within the Canadian nuclear industry, and the Canadian nuclear research and academic communities, through several honours and awards.
