Exploration Strategy and Business Relations Manager, Orano

Amber is an Exploration Strategy and Business Relations Manager at Orano. She has worked at Orana since 2018. She has over a decade of experience as a Geologist at both Orano and Areva Resources Canada. She holds a Masters of Business administration (MBA) and a Bachelor of Sciences (BSc) with high honours in Geological Sciences from the University of Saskatchewan.

Sonia Qureshi, P. Eng

Director, Joint Projects and Services, CANDU Owner’s Group

Sonia is currently the Director of Joint Projects and Services at the CANDU Owner’s Group (COG). She is responsible for the line of business that develops solutions to problems and common issues in the CANDU community through innovative new approaches for longer more robust plant life. She has over 23 years of experience in the nuclear industry with past employers being Candu Energy and Atomic Energy of Canada Ltd. She holds a Chemical Engineering honors degree from the University of Toronto and is a licensed Professional Engineer with the Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO).

Tracy Primeau

Shift Manager, Bruce Power

Tracy is a Shift Manager at Bruce Power. In addition to this she serves on WiN Canada’s Board of Directors as Secretary, is a former Chapter Chair of WiN Bruce, and has given back to WiN by donating her time to be a speaker, and panelist at many WiN Canada events. She has been a WiN Canada/WiN Bruce member since 2004 and has yet to miss an annual conference.

Women in Nuclear Canada is pleased to be a Community Partner for the Centre for Canadian Nuclear Sustainability (CCNS). The launch of the Centre will support work underway for Pickering Nuclear Generating Station decommissioning and look at collaboration opportunities with various community stakeholders.

Joint initiative

Women in Nuclear Canada is pleased to join as a signatory to the joint Clean Energy Ministerial (CEM) and International Energy Agency (IEA) Equal by 30 initiative, as part of the Clean Energy, Education and Empowerment Initiative (C3E), which works to advance the participation of women in the clean energy transition, and close the gender gap.
