Daniela Heimlich

Director, Chair - Golden Horseshoe West Chapter

Daniela is currently completing her MBA. Daniela has over 17 years experience in the nuclear industry, most recently as Senior Specialist – Estimating at the NWMO where she was responsible for supporting the development and maintenance of lifecycle cost estimates for the long-term storage of used nuclear fuel in a deep geological repository, from siting through to decommissioning and closure, including transportation. Prior to this role, Daniela was at Ontario Power Generation, where she worked as a Transportation Design Engineer in the Nuclear Waste Management Division. She also has experience in the biomedical, patent/IP and aerospace industries. Daniela holds a Bachelor and Master of Applied Science in Mechanical and Biomedical Engineering from the University of Toronto. She has been a licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario since 2008. Daniela has been a member of WiN Canada since 2007, joined the Golden Horseshoe West (GHW) Leading Group in 2017, and is a proud recipient of the Harriet Brooks Award (WiN 2019). Daniela is currently serving as the Chair of the GHW Chapter.
