Fuel Program Specialist, Canadian Nuclear Laboratories
I joined the Eastern Ontario leading group in the Fall of 2022. From 2022-2023 I sat on the committee for the Speakers Clearinghouse and became Chapter Chair for Eastern Ontario in the Fall of 2023. My focus this past year has been to try and increase participation in both the Chalk River and Ottawa area through hosting events in both locations. I am also an executive for NAYGN Chalk River, so I also am trying to increase our membership with younger members of the organization through co-hosting various events.
I work at Canadian Nuclear Laboratories as a Fuel Program Specialist in Environmental Remediation Management. Specifically, I work in fuel stabilization and storage on various projects aiming to disposition our nuclear liabilities. I also am a lead presenter for CNL’s Education Outreach Program where I educate the public on the benefits of nuclear!
I have an undergraduate degree in chemical engineering from Queen’s University, graduating in the spring of 2021. Prior to graduating, I did a 16-month internship with Ontario Power Generation at Darlington. Since graduating, I have been working at CNL in the Fuel Program on a number of projects.
