Alexandra Gillam

Event Manager

Alex is a results-oriented and dedicated events and marketing professional, with over eight years of global experience in full scope event planning. Her expertise spans from digital, hybrid, and in-person B2B events, to the creation and execution of marketing campaigns. A Toronto native, she pursued a Masters in Events Management at the University of Greenwich in London, UK. Her passion and dedication for events and her performance in the program earned her the “The Meetings Industry Association Conference and Event Management Highest Performing Student Postgraduate Events Management” award.

A fixture for world-class events and renowned for its diverse and unparalleled venues, suppliers, cutting-edge tech, and innovation, Alex honed her event management skills working in London for four years. There she excelled in a city widely recognized as a global leader in the industry. In 2022, she made the decision to return to Toronto, eager to share the wealth of knowledge and expertise she gained from working abroad.

Alex’s portfolio encompasses the design and delivery of events spanning many industries including nuclear, retail, tech, sustainability, healthcare and financial services. Her events have ranged in size from intimate gatherings to mid and large-scale. She has executed events across the AMER, EMEA, and APAC regions which has allowed her to leverage her intercultural communication skills. She is passionate about infusing a strategic and solutions-focused mindset into every project while forging strong relationships with all stakeholders. She is notorious for her impeccable organizational skills and unwavering commitment to excellence, characterized by a relentless pursuit of continuous improvement. In every endeavor, she takes immense pride in delivering events that are both meaningful and impactful.

Outside of events, Alex is an avid skier whose winters are spent up north or figuring out how to beat traffic and get up north. She’s a big reader and an equally big foodie (any and all restaurant recommendations are welcome, she is also a self-proclaimed hot sauce enthusiast).
