Leena Thomas is a professional engineer with almost 30 years of experience, primarily in the Saskatchewan mining industry. Leena has a B.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering and holds an M.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering (heat transfer/HVAC) and an M.A. degree in Women’s, Gender and Sexualities Studies, all from the University of Saskatchewan. Leena’s M.A. thesis focused around the challenges women face in the science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) areas.
Leena has worked primarily in the potash and uranium industries, both as an engineering consultant and with a major mining company. Leena is currently working as a Senior Project Manager with Hatch.
